Take a step back in time with blacksmith Tom King ‘An Gobha’ and Mythical Ireland's Anthony Murphy through an immersive and interactive experience of traditional iron age metal forging and listening to the ancient tales of gods and monuments.

The collaborating hosts invite all to join them this Sunday for their 'Myth and Metal' tour, where you will have the opportunity to hear mythologist Anthony Murphy recite the ancient tales of the Boyne Valley, watch and listen as skilled craftsman Tom talks you through every step and aspect of his forging, sit at King Lugh's Throne and enjoy banquet at the grand oak table!

The special day will take place at the Forge of the Smooth Road, Slighe Assail, Bohermeen, one of the five ancient roads leading to the Hill of Tara.

Anthony Murphy will teach you about the legends of Brú na Bóinne such as Niall of the Nine Hostages who's resting place is located just 1.5 miles from the forge.

Learn all about the craft of the blacksmith as An Gobha hammers steel, bronze and brass into beautiful pieces inspired by the myths and megalithic art of the historic Boyne Valley in the recreated ancient atmosphere of the forge.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
