Extension for Coole National School

Work will soon commence on a new classroom to serve the growing numbers of pupils attending Coole School, Summerhill.

Principal Lisa Doyle welcomed the signing of contracts for the work last week. "The staff, parents and pupils of Coole National school are delighted with the news that builders have signed contracts with the Board of Management to take possession of the site to commence the building of a new standalone classroom," she said.

"This classroom is needed to accommodate our growing number of pupils. It will be fully equipped with in class art area, cloakroom facilities and bathrooms. The staff and pupils are looking forward to moving into the new classroom when complete."

Coole National School has been serving the community since 1955 and currently has 157 pupils enrolled.
