Boann Distillery Ltd has lodged plans with Meath County Council for a new distillery and visitors centre at Bryanstown, Platin Road, Drogheda

Permission is being sought for the change of use of former showroom and warehouse spaces to new distillery and visitors' centre, restaurant, retail area, tasting rooms, kitchen,laboratory, associated stores and offices all within existing buildings. The plans include the removal of existing steps and ramp at front main entrance and proposed new raised terrace and seating area.

Boann Distillery is a family company run by Patrick and Marie Cooney with their family; Sally-Anne, Celestine, Peter, Patrick and James. The Cooneys have 40 years experience in the drinks industry building up the Gleeson Group from a small independent bottler, to a company with a turnover in excess of €300 million per annum.
