Four one-acts from Trim Drama Group over three nights in May

Trim Drama Group's Spring 2023 Production is 'A Night of 4 One Act Plays' in Baker's Loft, Brogan's Bar, Trim, on 9th,10th, and 11th May next, at 8pm nightly.

The four plays will offer a mixture of comedy and poignancy and a great night of local live theatre for our audiences to enjoy over the three nights.

The four one act plays are 'Threatened Panda Fights Back' by Rex McGregor, directed by Andy Smith. Long used to being the poster boy for the WWF, Panda might have some competition coming his way and must think fast to retain his status! An endearing comedy, this is a directing debut for Andy, who has been on stage for Trim Drama Group several times.

'Music Maybe' by DM Larson, director Mark Barry; A look behind the scenes as an all-drummer girl band gets together, some laughs and a lot of poignant moments, and as a play about musicians, it’s a perfect fit for the stage in Baker's Loft. Mark has been on stage for Trim Drama Group in many productions, and while it’s not his first time to direct, this is his first time to direct for Trim.

'A Pound on Demand' by Sean O’Casey, director Ellen Dennis: An O’Casey classic comedy, Sammy and Gerry are on a rip roaring day out and call into the post office for a pound on demand to keep the party going, but will things go their way?! Ellen has also been on stage for Trim Drama Group and this is her second time to direct here.

'The Exchange', written and directed by Kevin Loughran. Chaos and mayhem erupt with hilarious consequences when the local telephone exchange gets in a bit of a muddle much to the surprise of the local callers! Kevin is no stranger to Trim audiences, having been in many Trim Drama Group and Trim Musical Society productions over the years. Kevin has written and directed plays before, and this is his directing debut for Trim Drama Group, in a world premiere for this one act play.
