Public meeting to highlight crime and Garda resourcing
A public meeting to discuss garda numbers and anti-social behaviour in Meath will take place in the Newgrange Hotel in Navan on Thursday 9th February at 8pm.
The meeting is organised by Deputy Johnny Guirke who has invited Garda representatives to attend.
"Meath has the lowest number of Garda per head of population for far too long now, despite having a Justice Minister in the County," said Deputy Guirke.
"We need to bring this in line with the national average so we can have more Gardai on our streets."
The meeting will also be attended by Deputy Darren O'Rourke and Sinn Féin Spokesperson for Justice, Martin Kenny TD.
