Lenihan next in line to curb Ferguson's surging form
Dunboyne's Darragh Lenihan could be charged with the formidable charge trying to curb the goal-scoring instincts of Evan Ferguson from Bettystown when their teams meet each other on Saturday in the FA Cup at the Riverside Stadium.
Lenihan's Middlesbrough take on Ferguson's Brighton & Hove Albion in the third round of the famous competition.
Ferguson has really put himself in the limelight in the past week with Premier League goals against Arsenal over the festive season and Everton on Tuesday night at Goodison Park.
Brighton lost to Arsenal but inflicted a hefty 4-1 defeat on Everton and Donegal's Seamus Coleman.
Ferguson also hit the post against Everton and he has attracted rave reviews for his physical strength, skill and ability to put chances away.
Now the question is: Can he continue his goal-scoring form against Boro and Lenihan?
It will be intriguing to see how the two players from the Royal County fare out when the teams clash.
