Woman to appear in court charged in connection with the fatal assault of a man in Navan

Gardaí in Navan have charged the woman (aged in her 30s) who was arrested on Saturday 10th December, 2022 following the discovery of a body at a residential property on Academy Street, Navan.

The deceased man was was named locally as Zbigniew Czech originally from Lithuania. aged in his 40s.

She is due to appear before a sitting of Navan District Court this afternoon Monday 12th December, 2022 at 4pm.

Meanwhile Gardaí in Ashbourne continue to investigate the discovery of a body in unexplained circumstances yesterday afternoon, (Saturday 10th December.)

The body found in Kilbride area was discovered at around 4.30pm on Saturday in a wooded area by a person out walking, who then alerted the landowner and gardaí, who are treating it as suspicious. It is understood the body, believed to be male, was wrapped up in heavy material, possibly carpeting.
