Laerke, Alexander, Lucas, Emma and Elisabeth Ryan.Emma Ryan of Emma Ryan Designs hosted her first exhibition of art at Killeen Castle in Dunsany last week, launching her new collection ‘Glór na Mara’. Emma is a designer and creator, specialising in original, abstract art and products. Her new collection ‘Glór na Mara - Call of the Sea’ - is inspired by the movement and flow of our Irish coasts and seas.
The collection consists of original, abstract canvas paintings in a variety of colours and sizes. Products that accompany the paintings, such as greeting cards, stationary and cotton tote-bags, all showcase original paintings in their design.
Emma is a Meath-based artist, specialising in original acrylic paintings. She began experimenting with fluid painting during the pandemic and found a love for the free-flowing movement and creativity of abstract art. Before diving into the world of painting, she was working in costume design on the West End in London. Art, theatre and the creative world have always been her passions.
