The Trim Municipal District 2022 Pride of Place awards took place in Trim Castle Hotel on Wednesday, 19th October, 2022.
Cathaoirleach of Trim Municipal District, Cllr. Joe Fox warmly welcomed the guests from the 20 groups that took part in the initiative. Cllr. Fox commended the fantastic work and achievements of the voluntary groups over the last year and beyond, noting that it is impossible to quantify the value of the work carried out by the volunteers. He acknowledged their commitment and noted that the Trim district is a credit to all involved and he has a great sense of pride in the work being done.
Director of Services for Trim MD, Mr. Des Foley thanked all of the volunteers on behalf of Meath County Council for the work that is carried out in the Trim district. He noted that the initiative is a real partnership between the community and Meath County Council to promote community activity and development. He acknowledged that from the council’s perspective the competition gives the council an opportunity to experience first hand the remarkable work that goes on in the local communities that may otherwise go unnoticed.
