Silver Stream Care Home in Duleek opens

A new 120 bed nursing home in Duleek was officially opened by Minister Helen McEntee last week.

The Silver Stream Care Home is employing 400 people in 170 full time equivalent jobs at the new facility.

Silver Stream Healthcare Group is one of the largest providers of residential care for older people in Ireland and has over 750 beds across 11 homes and is headquartered in Ratoath.

The newly developed home in Duleek has 120 single ensuite bedrooms spanning over 5,500 m2.

CEO, Tom Finn said the new facility includes two dementia units, and also caters for regular long term residents, paliative care, respite care and people with long term injuries.

"Accommodation is configured to address the needs of all potential residents and includes superior single and companion accommodation with large en-suites," he said.

"We work with Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the HSE," he said.

The first residents moved into the facility last July.
