Gardai urge car owners to secure vehicles after spate of thefts

Gardai are appealing to all car and van owners to lock and secure their vehicles when parked overnight after a spate of thefts over the bank holiday weekend in the Laytown area.

A number of vehicles were broken into between 9pm on Sunday 30th October and 12.30am on Monday 31st October in Corballis, Coney Hall and the the Woods, Inse Bay area of Laytown.

Gardai are reminding people not to leave valuable items in their vehicle overnight, to ensure your car is locked, alarmed and parked in a safe location and to store keys safely away from windows and letterboxes.
