Ratoath's Jack McGowan comes under pressure against Killyon during the SHC clash at Pairc Tailteann this evening.

Semi-final spots for Ratoath and Dunderry

In a far from classic SHC encounter at Pairc Tailteann this evening Ratoath proved much too strong for Killyon, 1-23 to 0-11, to book a place in the last four.

Ratoath led from start to finish in this forgettable game with Padraig O'Hanrahan showing the way with a brilliant display capped with 1-13 scoring contribution, seven frees.

Ahead by 1-10 to 0-4 Ratoath's lead never looked threatened as Killyon failed to fire. Niall Smullen topscored for them with four points but they also wasted good chances.

In the curtain-raiser to the senior game Dunderry defeated Gaeil Colmcille 3-12 to 1-15 to ensure their place in the last four of the IHC.

Adam Kelly, Jamie Leavy and Aaron Feeney all found the net for Dunderry while Cormac Mattiemoe hit the target for Gaeil Colmcille.
