Game on for the Rovers

Kentstown Rovers have been chosen as one of the clubs involved in the Cadbury Dairy Milk #TheGameIsOn initiative promoting grassroots girls football in Ireland.

They were one of only a few clubs to be chosen.

"Senior ladies member Stephanie Poutch was interviewed for the campaign and her team mates feature in the posters and our very own BILLBOARD which will be seen displayed in our community," explained club vice-chairman Neil Cunningham.

"The launch was held in Dublin. The photoshoot was held at our home ground in Kentstown.

"Off The Ball host Nathan Murphy interviewed Emma Byrne of Arsenal Women and Republic Of Ireland as well as Arsenal legend Ian Wright. A big highlight was listening to Ian Wright who is passionate about the development of girls football!" added the Rovers vice chairman.
