Knockharley Colts race to victory

A group of young, talented players from Knockharley Cricket Club found the consistency and hunger needed to claim a notable success on Sunday.

A team representing the long-established and well-known Meath club won the Cricket Leinster Junior Colts Cup beating Terenure Cricket Colts in the final.

After losing the toss Knockharley were asked to bat first and they proceeded to score 104 off their 20 overs. In reply their bowlers restricted the opposition to 79 runs all out.

Both Knockharley and Terenure teams contained players from the Ireland u-15 squad and Cricket Leinster u-15 and u-13 squads.

The victory follows another notable triumph achieved last year when a team from the Meath club won the u-15 Cricket Leinster Cup.
