Plans lodged for 80 residential units in Enfield

Plans for a mixed use development on lands to the north of the roundabout on the Dublin Road, at Johnstown, Enfield, have been lodged with Meath Co Council.

Michael Ryan is seeking permission for a mixed-use development including a four-storey over ground floor level mixed use building of 7,953 sq.m, comprising ground floor lobby, bulky goods retail at ground and first floor, ground floor cafe, ground floor gym, first floor health centre, second, third and fourth floor office and conference space, core, circulation and plant facilities across all levels and 227 car and 80 cycle parking spaces to serve the building.

The proposed development also includes 80 residential units made up of 13 two-storey four-bedroom terraced housing units, 67 two-storey three-bedroom terraced housing units with associated private open space in the form of rear gardens and terraces, and164 car and 320 cycle residential parking spaces plus 60 visitor cycle parking spaces.

Landscaped public open space of 4,224sqm, a two storey-creche facility of 400sqm with 12 parking spaces are also part of the plans.

A two-lane access road linking the development to the roundabout where the R148 meets Dublin Road with another roadway accessing the development from the south via the existing roundabout on the Dublin Road; an internal road.

The 5.5 hectares site has agricultural greenfields to the north; to the east by greenfields and an unoccupied cottage; to the south by the R148/Dublin Road and roundabout; and to the west by lands on which a post primary school and a nursing home are to be delivered.
