Incredible Aoibhin raises €5,655 for cancer support charities

Nine-year-old Aoibhín Primrose from Nobber decided over two years ago that she wanted to grow her hair for wigs for children. Fast forward to Friday 8th July 2022 and Aoibhín donated an incredible 19 inches of her beautiful long hair to the Rapunzel Foundation.

Not content to just donate her hair, Aoibhín wanted to raise as much money as she could to support two charities of her own choosing, namely Aoibheann's Pink Tie and Nobber Cancer Support Group. In total, Aoibhín's fundraiser raised €5,656.30 which was equally split between the two charities.

On Saturday, 23rd July Aoibhín presented a cheque for €2,828.15 to both Jimmy Norman from Aoibheann's Pink Tie and Eithne Condra on behalf of Nobber Cancer Support Group in Dunboyne Castle Hotel. During the cheque presentation, Aoibhín was thrilled to meet and chat with Jimmy Norman who is Aoibheann's dad, and also with her sister Roisín.

Aoibhín would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported her in any way over the past month.
