The Fairgreen in Navan was a sea of Green and Gold this afternoon as thousands turned out to see the Meath Ladies - back-to-back All-Ireland champions - parade the Brendan Martin Cup they reclaimed in Croke Park on Sunday after defeating Kerry in style.
The steadily worsening rain didn't dampen the spirits of the ecstatic crowd who roared captain Shauna Ennis and her 38-strong squad to the podium alongside manager Eamonn Murray and his backroom team just after 3pm.
Comedian and Ashbourne native Rory O'Connor aka Rory's Stories was MC for the afternoon and kept everyone entertained as the welcome home party got into full swing.
