Council to host homecoming for the All-Ireland Senior Champions

Meath County Council, in association with Meath Ladies Gaelic Football Association, will host a Homecoming for the victorious Meath Senior Ladies team and management at the Fairgreen Car Park, Navan on Monday, August 1 from 3.00pm.

"We are inviting supporters to join the celebrations where we will honour and celebrate the team’s contribution to a fantastic season and thank them for the significant contribution to the LGFA sporting year and to clubs and communities across the county," said a spokesperson.

MC for the evening will be Rory O’Connor, known widely as Rory’s Stories, with the team expected to be on stage just after 3.00pm.

"Fair Green and Church Hill streets will be closed from 1.00pm until the conclusion of the event with traffic diversions in place. Please note that no parking will be available at the Fairgreen on the day however Meath County Council carparks will be free of charge to supporters. We would remind any visitor to ensure they park legally and responsibly on the day.

"In the interest of public safety Meath County Council, Meath LGFA and Gardaí ask supporters to arrive early and to follow the directions of the stewards.
