A showcase of original music at The Backroom

Three of Meath’s finest acts are coming together to put on a night of original music in The Backroom at The Lantern, Watergate Street, Navan on Saturday 23rd July. The Backroom has been home to many local and touring bands over the years and is up and running again as Navan’s choice venue for music fans looking for something a little bit different.

Easy Tide, IF and The Joy Booth Band have been busy recording and rehearsing with new releases and videos coming out soon. The Joy Booth Band will open the night with her captivating folk/blues sound playing tunes from the long awaited debut album ‘All You Were’ which features a host of gifted Meath-based musicians. Next up are the seven piece band, IF with their unique and uplifting jazz/reggae influenced sound. They’ve been busy updating their live set with songs like ‘Im all Eyes’ from their new video and getting their luscious brass rich tunes ready for the stage.

Easy Tide will close out the night with their alternatively delicate, restrained songs to the fuzz drenched epic wig outs they are known and loved for.

The four piece alternative garage band spent most of lockdown working on new music and have multiple releases coming out soon.

There’ll be something for fans of every genre on what promises to be a memorable night showcasing Meath’s rich tradition of songwriting and musicianship. Doors 9pm. Adm €5.
