Down Syndrome Ireland, Louth Meath branch hosted a graduation ceremony for students of DSI’s Ability programme in the Darnley Lodge Hotel, Athboy.
Some 16 graduates from Meath, Westmeath and Cavan celebrated with families, friends and guests having completed modules in literacy and technology, political awareness, work skills and personal development.
The programme is a combination of modules imported into Ireland under licence by DSI from the University of Queensland, Australia and others developed by the Adult Education team at DSI.
DSI is committed to the provision of education programmes tailored to the needs and abilities of adults with Down syndrome.
