Young Royals look to make an impact

A feast of inter-county football promised at Millbrook on Saturday with a number of teams due to showcase some of their finest young footballers.

On Saturday there is the Meath v Kerry game in the Ted Webb Cup at 12 noon at Millbrook.

The Oldcastle venue will then host the second round of the Gerry Reilly Tournament at 2pm, with Meath taking on Kildare.

The tournament showcases the very best of u-16 talent from across the country every year, and throws up some great contests.

Former players in the tournament include the likes of Trevor Giles, Graham Geraghty, Stephen Cluxton and the Brogan brothers, Alan and Bernard have played in the competition in the past.

Those interested in seeing some of the top-ranked young Gaelic footballers around are encouraged by the organisers to make their way to Millbrook next Saturday afternoon and support the teams!
