Town Hall meeting for East Meath

A NUMBER of Meath East residents have come together to form the ‘Meath East Town Hall Committee’ and will hold their first meeting in Ratoath Community Centre this Thursday, 28th April at 8pm.

Local public representatives are invited to come along to the Meath East Town Hall to update residents on local issues and also discuss priorities, plans and challenges for the local community.

The Town Hall Committee will gather questions from the community in advance of the meeting.

"Our hope is to utilise our vital resource; our local representatives, to provide our community with a better understanding of upcoming political matters, including proposed legislation that will affect our futures - and most importantly those of our children," said Jana Lundon, committee member.

"As the last two years have been a time of uncertainty, anguish and loss for so many people, this Town Hall is scheduled just as our Spring weather has arrived and after the Easter break.

“It is our hope that enabling a bit more clarity on what is happening in the community around us will give people a renewed feeling of hope and optimism and a stronger sense of unity."

Residents are being asked to register for this free event in advance at thevenueratoath.ie to guarantee their seat.
