Gardai investigate handbag snatch

Ashbourne Gardai are investigating a theft where a woman had her handbag snatched from her car in the Racehill Close area of the town last week.

It happened at around 9.40pm on Thursday, 21st April. A man approached the woman's vehicle and knocked on the window. When the woman rolled down the window of her car, the male snatched her handbag from the seat of the car and fled.

Anyone who was in the area around that time and noticed anyone acting suspiciously or anyone who may have dashcam footageis asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on (01) 8010600.
