Ballinabrackey battled bravely but had to settle for a draw against Na Fianna in this entertaining, end-to-end A FL Div 1A tie at Ballinabrackey on Tuesday evening. Niall Smullen hit 1-4 for Ballinabrackey with his goal arriving late in the game and it looked like it might secure a one-point victory for the home team however Na Fianna conjured up a late score to leave the sides level at the final whistle.

The Bracks made life difficult for themselves by conceding an early goal but they never gave up and did well in the end to earn a point from a lively, entertaining contest. Sean Kavanagh bagged 1-1 for the home team while David Carroll, Danny Quinn and Barry Thompson also raised white flags for the 'Bracks who did have their chances. Considering they trailed 1-4 to 2-5 at the interval Ballinabrackey did well to earn a draw.

Summerhill 1-12

Goals from Mark Battersby and John Finnerty were to play a huge part in helping Skryne carve out a victory over Summerhill in this A FL Div 1A encounter at Skryne on Tuesday evening.

It wasn't looking too hopeful for the home team at the interval when they trailed 1-6 to 1-8 with Battersby finishing an excellent four-man move to the net while Conor Lyons netted for Summerhill.

Finnerty's goal in the second-half proved so crucial in the end. Darragh Campion made a huge contribution to Skryne's tally with six points while Battersby finished with 1-4. Harry Rooney and Stephen O'Brien also pointed for the winners.

Lyons chalked up 1-7 for Summerhill while Conor Frayne registered four points with Davy Larkin contributing one yet Skryne prevailed.

Gavin Coyle fired over a late point to earn Curraha a draw against Oldcastle in the A FL Div 1B at Curraha last evening. Curraha had dominated the first half, but left a number of chances behind them. However, they still led by a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-3 at the break. Oldcastle edged in front and looked like they might shade it before Coyle struck. Curraha goalkeeper Liam Hogan also made a super save near the end. Both sides had chances in the closing minutes to claim victory but were unable to do so. Topscorer for the home side was Conor Moriarty, while Niall Murphy, Luke Farrell, Sean Keogh, Evan McGovern and, of course, Coyle also split the posts for the tenacious Curraha men.

Summerhill’s second team earned a hard fought win, by the minimum margin, over Boardsmill in the A FL Div 3B at Boardsmill on Tuesday evening. With the first team playing at the same time in Skryne resources were stretched but the 'Hill put in a great effort to secure their second win in a row in this competition. Cathal Brien and Paul Rispin bagged nine points between them whle a second half goal from Connie McGrath proved to be the vital score.

Drumconrath 2-10

Slane 0-9

Almost a month without a game because they had no fixture in round three Drumconrath took some time to get going in this A FL Div 4 clash but once they did there was no stopping them. The Drums were particularly effective in the final 20 minutes or so when they pulled away to win.

A Darragh Dunne goal on the 40th minute mark ignited the Drums with Matthew Durnin also finding the net for them. Steven Crosby slotted over a very noteworthy five points while Durnin finished with 1-1 as did Dunne. Tomas Conlon and Patrick Farrelly were others who contributed to Drumconrath's impressive final tally.

Drumconrath can thank Sean Kane, Daniel Byrne, Oran Brady, Crosby along with the goal-scorers Dunne and Durnin for getting them back on track in this game. The winners welcomed back Jamie Myles for his first start of the year.
