Big changes in league line-up

The North East Football League (NEFL) have elected Declan Jordan as the new General Secretary to replace the long-serving Gerry Gorman.

Jordan takes over the important position and will continue also as Fixtures Secretary, a role he has filled for some time now.

Gorman will continue on as treasurer. He will also fill the posts of MDL Site Manager and as one of the NEFL's representative on the Leinster Senior Council along with league chairman John Gorman.

Damien Clarke is vice-chairman while the registrar is Ger Lynch with Tommy Melia continuing as PRO.

The new NEFL Executive and Committee was elected at a meeting last night and contains a number of new faces in roles previously held by others.

In recent months it was revealed that a number of officials who have served on the NEFL Committee in recent years would be stepping down. Now latest team of officials have been announced ahead of the upcoming season.

The NEFL Executive and Committee for 2022 is:

CHAIRMAN: John Gorman

VICE CHAIRMAN: Damien Clarke

GENERAL SECRETARY/FIXTURES SECRETARY: Declan Jordan

TREASURER: Gerry Gorman

REGISTRAR : Ger Lynch

PRO: Tommy Melia

MDL SITE MANAGER: Gerry Gorman

REPRESENTATIVE TO LFA SENIOR COUNCIL: John Gorman & Gerry Gorman

REPRESENTATIVE TO LFA WOMEN'S COMMITTEE - Paddy Mulreid

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: All of the above plus David Tully, Derek Coogan, Eugene Lynch, Danny Doyle, Steve Laverty, Yvonne Brady, Pat Matthews, Conrad Clinton, & John Campbell
