Tayto Park needs a new Ashbourne identity...What's would you rename it?

So, Tayto Park will need a crisp new name from January next year after Tayto Park and Tayto Snacks announced that the title sponsorship will come to an end on the 31st of December 2022.

From January 2023 there will be a new name and identity for the award-winning theme park in Kilbrew, Ashbourne.

Founder of Tayto Park, Raymond Coyle said: “I am delighted to have aligned with one of the most iconic Irish brands, so successfully, for over a decade.

"Our partnership with Tayto Snacks has helped to create one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions in little over 12 years. We have decided that in order to expand and meet our ambitious targets for the park, now is the opportune time to rename the park to better reflect the exciting rides, attractions and zoo that are coming over the next few years.

A change of name mightn't go down well with everyone but according to Ray Coyle, a massive investment in the years ahead should see everyone in agreement of just how successful the theme park has become.

"We now look forward to a new and exciting chapter for the park, with many new developments planned, including an investment of €30 million over the next two years.

"Our sponsorship of the park during that time has helped us to further enhance the emotional connection Tayto has with Irish consumers by reinforcing the brand’s values around family and community in addition to continuing to foster the great affection they hold for Ireland’s most popular crisps and snacks brand since its creation over 65 years ago.

Last year the Park was given the green light for a new €15.5 million two in one rollercoaster, clearing the way for the construction of the 31 metre high and 748 metre long Suspended Thrill Roller Coaster and a 24.2 metre high 238 metre long Family Boomerang (FB) ride. The plans for the ride were drawn up by Dutch roller-coaster maker, Vekoma which has made roller-coasters across the world such as Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain for Disney.
