41 Covid patients in Navan and Drogheda hospitals last night

There were 41 Covid-19 patients in hospital in Drogheda and Navan last night as health officials confirmed 6,735 additional cases of Covid-19 nationally.

There were six cases in Navan, with two patients in Intensive Care while there were 35 in Drogheda and four of those were in ICU.

Five people with Covid-19 spent Christmas Day in Hospital in Navan while there were 30 in hospital in Drogheda,

There were 461 Covid patients in hospital across the country yesterday , with 91 of those patients in intensive care (ICU).

Meanwhile almost two million booster vaccines had been administered up to Christmas eve, with the HSE reporting 1,984,818

booster vaccinations having been administered.

People over 40 can now go online and book their own booster vaccination appointments for Fairyhouse and Simonstown.
