Letter to the Editor: A prayer of thanks for all our health care workers in Navan Hospital

(EDITOR, MEATH CHRONICLE),

Dear Sir - In a year where the future of Our Lady’s Hospital Navan has come under threat, I would like to share a little of my experience in this wonderful facility.

Following a recent serious and sudden heart event that happened at home, I was given initial stabilising treatment by the fantastic paramedic team and transported swiftly and efficiently to Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan.

From the second I arrived the level of care I received from nurses, doctors, therapists and technicians, was second to none. I owe my life and current rehabilitated health to these amazing people. I must also mention the superb support staff, the porters, the kitchen staff, the cleaning staff and clerical staff, who were so kind and generous to me during my stay.

Coming to Christmas, I say a prayer for all our health care workers in Navan Hospital to thank you and to keep you safe in these uncertain times.

I will be forever grateful to you all.

Yours,

Henry Collins,

Boyerstown,

Navan.
