Trim singer at No 3 in iTunes charts with Christmas song for Zack Rocks

Ed Sheeran and Elton John keeping Gerry Gormley off the top spot

A Trim singer is trying to knock Ed Sheeran and Elton John off the iTunes charts with his song, 'I'll get you home from Christmas' in support of the Zack Rocks fund.

Zack Moran, an 11 year-old from Navan, was diagnosed with a Grade 4 highly aggressive malignant tumour, and underwent surgery earlier this year.

Zack Rocks is a group fund raising to support the Moran family with everyday expenses and future treatment and travel.

Zack with Sean Boylan at the Underdogs match in Ashbourne last week.

Yesterday, Gerry's song was top of the iTunes Christmas chart and second in the main chart, but it has been pushed down to number three by two releases involving Ed and Elton – 'Merry Christmas' and 'Sausage Rolls for Everyone' from Ladbaby, featuring the duo.

Gerry says: “Ed Sheeran and Elton John really don't want us to get to No 1 its like a blockade up there …. We are looking unreal going into the weekend for the #zackrocksfund at No 3 ... let's keep this going for Christmas!”
