LADIES GAA

All-Ireland SFC champions Meath will begin life back in Ladies NFL Div 1B with a tricky home tie against Cork on Sunday 13th February.

The LGFA have decided to go with splitting the divisions into two again for 2022 and Meath's reward for winning the NFL Div 2 crown earlier this year is the toughest section, with games against Cork, Dublin and Waterford.

Cork and Meath will meet on the opening weekend in what will be the first competitive meeting between the counties since the dramatic All-Ireland SFC semi-final back in August, when Meath staged a sensational comeback to take the game to extra-time, before eventually prevailing.

Will then travel to take on Waterford in round two on 20th February before welcoming Dublin to the Royal County for a repeat of this year's All-Ireland SFC final on Sunday 6th March.

In Div 1A Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Westmeath will face-off, with two teams to emerge from each of the four-team divisions to contest the semi-finals on 19th March. The finals are scheduled for Sunday 10th April.

Div 2A contains three Munster teams - Clare, Kerry and Tipperary, who were relegated from the top flight this year. They will be joined by 2021 Div 3 champions Laois,

Div 2B will be an all-Ulster affair as Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan and Tyrone prepare for some intriguing games.

Div 3A contains newly-promoted Louth, who will play against Down, Roscommon and Sligo, while Wexford (relegated from Div 2 in 2021), Kildare, Wicklow and Longford make up an all-Leinster Div 3B.

In Div 4A, Ulster sides Antrim, Derry and Fermanagh will be joined by Leitrim, as Fermanagh prepare for life in the fourth tier again following relegation in 2021.

In Div 4B, London are preparing for a return to League football, and they’ll pit their wits against Carlow, Offaly and Limerick.

The Div 2 semi-finals will be played on 19th March, with the semi-finals in Divs 3 and 4 down for decision on 20th March.

The finals in Div 3 and 4 are scheduled for Sunday 3rd April, with the Div 1 and 2 finals to be played a week later, on Sunday 10th April.
