Season of giving in Summerhill

It’s the season of giving and Londis Summerhill is certainly getting into the spirit of Christmas, donating more than 500 selection boxes to three local schools - Moynalvey NS, Dangan NS and Coole NS.

Londis Summerhill manager, Kathleen McDonnell’s son, Lleyton McDonnell, attends Dangan NS and she was only too delighted to make the gesture to the schools to mark the beginning of the festive season.

“We have all had a tough time because of the Covid-19 pandemic but the children have really had a rougher time of it as so many activities and outings have had to be cancelled or postponed over the last two years. This is our way in Londis Summerhill to help put a smile back on their faces and mark the start of the Christmas period,” said Kathleen, who has worked in the store for 13 years.
