More delays at Simonstown vaccination centre
There were serious traffic delays on the Proudstown Road in Navan again this afternoon, as the HSE were forced to close the Simonstown Vaccination Centre to walk-ins, as huge crowds turned up to get their booster jabs.
There is currently a two hour wait at the centre, which is now only taking those with scheduled appointments.
This follows huge queues on Sunday which saw traffic chaos with queues stretching from Simonstown to the Round O, as people turned up to access the booster vaccination clinic.
As cases of Covid 19 across the county remain very high, the HSE had to close the Simonstown vaccination centre to traffic after massive queues and tailbacks developed.
Meanwhile, there were seven people in Hospital in Navan with the virus last night (Monday) and a further 33 in Drogheda. Two of those in Navan were in intensive care and six were in ICU beds in Drogheda.
