Premier joy for Torro youths

There were some notable success achieved by Torro Utd teams last weekend including their boys u-14 team who claimed their Premier League title with a resounding 3-0 win over Parkvilla.

Not only did Torro claim the title they did it undefeated winning all 13 of the games they played.

Against Parkvilla, Vincent Leonard, Conor Harding and Daragh Weldon were on target for the rampant Torro side who have turned winning into an artform.

It was the kind of winning sequence even Mo Salah and his Liverpool colleagues would struggle to match.

There was also success for Torro in the Boys u-15 Div 2 with the team in yellow and green getting the better of Trim Celtic 2-1 with goals from Rian Feeney and Darragh O'Reilly.

This wasn't any old victory as Trim Celtic are Torro's main rivals for the title. Torro are now three points ahead of Trim Celtic with just one game to go.

In the Boys u-16 Premier League Torro Utd narrowly lost out to Kells Youths 1-2 with Ben Reilly getting their only goal.

Torro Utd's girls teams are also making an impact with the u-14s chalking up a notable triumph in the Premier League at that grade.

They defeatd Park Celtic Summerhill in an entertaining 4-2 encounter.

Mollie O'Reilly, Leah Cahill, Lana Smith and Ria McGrath scored for Torro who were playing their final league game of the season.
