Bohermeen's Adam Gilsenan took the laurels in the prestigious Ken Duff Memorial Race in Bray on Sunday.

He sprinted away comfortably from a four-man break to take the victory in the A3/Junior Race over 93kms.

Gilsenan has recently returned from Italy where he is a member of the Club Ciclistico Canturino and he was on the Irish junior team that competed in the European Road Race Championships in Trento, Italy the previous week.

Bohermeen Cycling Club under-age members took part in the Leinster Track Championships at Sundrive Road in Dublin on Saturday for the first time and brought home five medals.

Eoin Davis won the u-12 race with Cian English in second place. Davis also got third place in the time-trial while in the u-14 category Cillian Owens was second in the time-trial and third in the race.

Sophie English and Jamie Fitzpatrick both finished strongly in their races.
