Bohermeen cyclists in action at under-age and adult events

CYCLING

Talented young Bohermeen Cycling Club members took part in the All-lreland Youth Cycling Championships at Gorey.

The championships consisted of a time-trial, criterium and road race.

Club members who were in action included Eoin Davis, Senan Traynor, Craig Ennis and Jamie Fitzpatrick all in the u-11 boys, Cian English in the u-12 boys,

Sophie English in the u-14 girls along with Cillian Owens in the u-14 boys and Ryan Walsh in the u-16 boys.

Bohermeen's Aaron Rafferty was vying for glory in Dudalk at the Cuchulainn Cycling Club-hosted Leinster Road Race and Traders Cup which were all as part of one race at the weekend.

Aaron Rafferty from Bohermeen Cycling Club was part of a three-man break along with Navan Road Club's Sean Mullen and Jason Kenny (UCD Cycling Club) that fought it out in the closing kilometres.

As the three man break made it to the finish, Kenny was sure of the A1 title with Mullen claiming the A2 title and Bohermeen's Rafferty taking the runner-up position in the A2 category.
