New presenter for Junior Eurovision on TG4

The search for Ireland's entry for the 2021 Junior Eurovision is on. Each year, the best young singers, aged nine to 14, from across Europe, compete in the competition.

Last year, the pandemic prevented Ireland and several other nations from taking part, but on 19th December this year a new star from Ireland will shine on stage in Paris and sing for the nation.

This singer will be chosen by judges Niamh Ní Chróinín and Fiachna Ó Braonáin, along with guest judges Niamh Kavanagh, Brian Kennedy, Mickey Joe Harte, Jedward, Lesley Roy and Linda Martin. This year new presenter Louise Cantillon is fronting the show.

Louise is a 28 year-old TV and Radio Presenter from Adare in Co Limerick. Starting her radio career in 2013 on SPIN Southwest, Louise has been the voice of many shows on SPIN over the years. IMRO Award winning, bilingual music show POP RAIDIÓ, SPIN’S lunchtime music show SPIN HITS, Education series SPIN Ar Scoil and now currently presenting SPIN’s talk show, SPIN NOW, and voice of HIT 30 na hÉireann a national pop chart show.

Louise has also worked as a news reporter and sports broadcaster on Classic Hits 4FM, as well as a producer on Newstalk and contributor on RnaG. Louise is a columnist for the Limerick Leader Newspaper.

A proud Gaeilgeoir and qualified Irish and PE teacher. In 2018, Louise decided to take a career break and leap into the world of broadcast media.
