July award for Meath's Emma Duggan

Meath footballer Emma Duggan scooped the PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month award for July.

Galway camogie’s Siobhán McGrath, Waterford hurler Jamie Barron and Mayo football’s Matthew Ruane also picked awards in the other categories.

Duggan was instrumental in Meath’s victory over Tipperary, scoring five points as the Royals advanced to the knock-out stages where they defeated Armagh to reach the All-Ireland semi-final against Cork this Sunday at Croke Park.

PwC are proud sponsors of the Player of the Month Awards across camogie, hurling and football, men and women.

This is the first year that the PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month Awards are being presented alongside their male equivalents.

The prizes on offer for the winners match those presented to the male monthly winners.

Commenting on the announcement, Feargal O’Rourke, Managing Partner, PwC, said:

“Well done to Siobhán, Emma, Jamie and Matthew from all of us at PwC for their stellar individual performances that resulted in them being named Player of the Month award winners for July.

"We wish each player the best of luck as we hit the business end of a Championship season that has been packed with quality action to date."
