Traffic coming up Timmons Hill on to Market Square will be affected.

Dates set for Timmons Hill closure for works

Timmons Hill in Navan will be the next road to close as the Navan 2030 works continue.

Meath County Council proposes to close the road from 7am on Tuesday 10th August until 7pm on 31st August

The closure is to facilitate watermain upgrade works and ancillary works as part of the Navan Town Scheme

Diversion signs will be in place and local access to residents and businesses will be accommodated.

Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.

Meanwhile Old Cornmarket was due to reopen this week following watermain upgrade works and the closure of Ludlow Street is expected to continue until the end of August.

The current works are part of the Navan 2030 scheme which will see a €12 million investment in Navan, which will bring huge changes to the streets and lanes of Navan, over the next three to four years, including bus bays on either side of a widened Kennedy Road, as well as a park and ride facility outside the town.

At the May meeting of Navan Municipal Council it was agreed that future contracts for the scheme would be tweaked to allow the Council take steps to pedestrianise Trimgate Street for a trial period.
