Lots of local winners over three days at Bellewstown

Trainer Tom Gibney maintained his fine form with a second winner of the week when landing a maiden hurdle today at B ellewstown with 13/8 favourite Highstreet Roller.

Gibney was also on the mark at Tipperary on Thursday and today, for the same owner Leonard Kinsella, added to the tally for the season.

Jockey Darragh O’Keeffe’s dictated the pace from halfway and wnet for the win after two out winning by a neck.

"I'm thrilled for the horse and for her owner Leonard Kinsella who is a local man.," stated Gibney.

Leonard Kinsella and his wife Nannette are from Slane.

Today was the third and final day of the July Festival and there were also winners for trainer Denise Foster, Matthew Smith and Eamonn Delany.

The Delany winner had finished second on the flat last night where there was also lots of Meath winners. trainers Ger Lyons, Michael Mulvany and David Dunne had winners while there was a double for jockey Colin Keane and Siobhan Rutledge was also on the mark.

The opening day, Thursday, also saw some Meath success with Gerry and Colin Keane winning with the PJ Mulligan-owned Franno and the John McConnell-trained Third Avenue also on the mark.

There will be two days racing at Bellewstown in August and two in September also
