NEFL results round up from Tuesday night's action

The opening round of league games in the North East Football League were played last night in Division 3 and Division 4.

Lots of goals were scored and it wasn't a particularly great night for Enfield Celtic as they were involved in two games that each produced nine goals - they lost both.

The action from their 4-5 defeat by Navan Town Cosmos is on this platform thanks to Justin Burke Sports, but they also lost to Electro Celtic (1-8).

Two teams were left disappointed when away opposition didn't show up - both teams that didn't appear were Cavan teams.

Baliieboro 2nds failed to show for the game against Kells Celtic 2nds and Virginia 2nds failed to go to play Park Celtic Summerhill

There was also an abandoned game - in Louth- although the result will probably stand.

Ardeee Celtic were ahead of Chord Celtic in Div 3B (both second teams) on a 3-1 scoreline when the referee called a halt.

The referee issued four red cards in the game - one to Ardee.

It all means a few items on the NEFL disciplinary agenda and there will also be a fine issued after the result from Square 2nds v Carrick 2nds wasn't submitted.
