Keane drives Licence home in front

There was only one Meath winner across two meetings today with the combination of Ger Lyons and champion jockey Colin Keane flying the Royal County flag.

Today at Gowran Park Keane partnered newcomer Licence (by Frankel) to victory.

Licence is owned by Juddmonte and the colt justified the 4/5 starting price with a smooth performance to win the nine-furlong contest by a comfortable six lengths.

Yesterday was also a one-winner-from-Meath day as the Jack Davison-trained Cisco Disco made it two wins in a week when landing a handicap at Listowel to add to last Monday's victory at Roscommon.

"We'll see what the handicapper does, hopefully he isn't too harsh on him and can win another one before the season is out," remarked Davison.
