Four in four days for Robbie Colgan

Four winners in four days for Robbie Colgan sets a marker for Leopardstown tomorrow if he can make it five in five.

Today at the Curragh the Meath jockey was on the mark for trainer Karl Thornton in a valuabe mile and six handicap to add to winners at Navan, Tipperary and Roscommon in the past three days.

Colgan got 3/1 favourite Shanroe home in front of the Joseph O'Brien-trained Pondus by three-parts-of-a-length.

It was Colgan's third time to win on Shanroe which had also won bumpers in England and Scotland as well as hurdles at Fairyhouse and Tipperary.

Tomorrow at Leopardstown Colgan will be riding for Sheila Lavery, Kevin Smith and Tony Martin (all Meath) and John Murphy (Cork).
