Keith Donoghue double for Jim Dreaper and Gillian Callaghan

Keith Donoghue was in double form yesterday with a winner in the opener at Tipperary and then adding winner number two at Ballinrobe.

Donoghue partnered The Dasher Conway to victory in a maiden hurdle for Meath trainer Gillian Callaghan.

The second winner was for trainer Jim Dreaper when he partnered Forrard Away to victory in what, for Donoghue, was the aptly-named Tiger Roll beginners chase.

Forrard Away benefited from a mistake at the last by the Tom Gibney-trained Bold Emperor which was marginally in the lead, but unseated Darragh O'Keeffe.

“Maybe he was lucky, maybe he wasn’t, but he’s had a nice run round and he’s a nice horse to look forward to for next winter,” commented the winning trainer to irishracing.com.
