Tim Clancy's men keep on winning

Trim man Tim Clancy will probably be wishing that the mid-season break might be cancelled as his Drogheda side is in such good form in the League of Ireland Premier Division at the moment.

All the good football from a Louth club is now happening in Drogheda following tonight's 4-1 win against Longford Town.

Some 30 miles up the road former kingpins Dundalk slumped to a heavy defeat at Dalymount Park against a revitalised Bohemians side.

Bohs beat Dundalk by 5-1 only four days after Dundalk had inflicted a shock defeat on Shamrock Rovers, a first league defeat for the Tallaght side in 33 games.

The men from Tallaght made it two defeats in-a-row when they lost tamely (0-1) to Sligo Rovers tonight as the Connacht side move to the top of the table.

In the other games tonight St Pat's and Derry finished 2-2 while Finn Harps bounced back from Friday's defeat by Drogheda winning 2-1 in Waterford.

This weekend's games are the last ahead of the mid-season break with action set to resume on Friday 11th June.
