Trainer Kevin Smith on the mark with International Lady

Kilmessan, Kiltale and Trim combine for winner

It was like Kilmesan, Kiltale and Trim all working together to make it into the winners' enclosure at Dundalk this evening.

Trainer Kevin Smith, owner Peter Durnin and champion jockey Colin Keane - really an unbeatable combination as International Lady made it two wins in-a-row when landing a 45-65 handicap by half-a-length.

The combination clicked for the first time last month at Cork with the three-year-old filly that was purchased last October at Tattersalls UK for £1,500 winning well at the Minster track.

Twelve months prior to that International Lady was purchased for €68,000 at the October 2019 Goffs Orby Sale, but was unplaced subsequently in four starts in the UK for Richard Fahey and made the journey back to Ireland.

There probably wouldn't be as much co-operation if a few hurleys were involved but Trim would probably hold the bragging rights on that front at the moment as with the 2020 SHC decider on the horizon shortly.

However, it was all a team effort at the Louth venue today.
