Sheila Lavery winner at Naas

Sheila Lavery made a visit to the winners' enclosure at Naas today when Half Nutz won the concluding handicap over almost six furlongs.

However, regular jockey Robbie Colgan had to watch from the sideline as he was serving a two-day suspension that was imposed by the

Cork stewards on Friday 23rd April after he finished second on Star Official behind Colin Keane on the Dermot Weld-trained Kailash.

Wayne Lordan deputised and completed a treble on the day as Sheila Lavery got her first winner of the season.

“I feel sorry for Robbie (Colgan) who is suspended, Wayne has won on him here before and is a brilliant substitute to have," commented the winning trainer.

Moynalty jockey Declan McDonogh was on the mark at Naas today for trainer Willie McCreery when landing a Group 3 contest with Insinuendo
