Hectic Wexford debut for Ross Treacy at the Cross

With Meath man Jimmy Corcoran suspended for tonight's League of Ireland First Division game against Cork City at Turner's Cross and with reserve 'keeper Sean Martin also suspended Wexford had to sign a goalkeeper.

Both Corcoran and Martin were sent-off last week against UCD - Corcoran after 60 seconds for handling the ball outside the penalty area and Martin for two yellow cards.

For tonight's game Wexford duly recruited another Meath man in Ross Treacy who started his career with Parkvilla and last season was with Tim Clancy at Drogheda Utd.

However, it was a hectic debut for the Navan man as Cork City got back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory.

Treacy was with Dundalk when they won the Premier League in 2018 and was on the books of Swansea City before returning to link up with manager Stephen Kenny at Oriel Park.
