Treble for Rachael Blackmore at Kilbeggan this evening

Three for Blackmore and two for Foster at Kilbeggan

Rachael Blackmore was the jockey in form this evening at Kilbeggan and trainer Denise Foster also did her bit for the females at the Westmeath track.

Blackmore had three winners as she closed the gap on defending champion jockey Paul Townend to four (91-95) with a week of the season remaining while Foster had a double.

Blackmore won the opener with with The Cathal Don for trainer Henry De Bromhead and followed up in the third race with An Taibhse, again for De Bromhead.

Appropriately, the duo won the last - the aptly-titled Congratulations Minella Times Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan - Cavalry Master stylishly completed a hat-trick.

Blackmore will be in action at Sandown tomorrow while the Irish action tomorrow, Sunday and Monday is confined to the flat before the Punchestown Festival starts on Tuesday.

Denise Foster and Team Cullentra recorded a double at Kilbeggan - Jamie Codd partnered both winners, the first was Buddy Rich for owner John Keegan and Coddo followed that with Felicidad.

The double moved Codd on to 45 winners in the race for the amateur title to go level with Patrick Mullins.
