Doubles for Keane and McDonogh at Dundalk

Champion jockey Colin Keane and former champion jockey Declan McDonogh were both in double form at Dundalk today.

The champion jockey partnered the Ger Lyons-trained Aikido to victory in a six-furlong contest.

The Trim man had earlier won on Tipperary Moon for Tipperary trainer Des Donovan.

For Moynalty man McDonogh it was a third winner in two days after he was also on the mark at Tipperary yesterday for trainer Kieran Cotter.

Today at Dundalk McDonogh scored with favourite Belmont Avenue in a maiden for trainer Joseph O'Brien.

McDonogh doubled up when winning for Denise Foster and Team Cullentra with 33/1 chance The Abbey which got the better of the Shane Crawly-trained Danehill Quest by a neck.

Bohermeen man Johnny Murtagh trained the winner of the opening race on the card.
