The Irish Super League Tuesday night round up

Plenty of action in the Irish version of the Super League tonight with a full round of fixtures in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Dalymount was the place for the most goals with Sligo Rovers winning 3-1 to maintain their fine start to the season.

Bohs manager Keith Long opted to leave Skryne man James Finnerty out of the centre of the defence, but Ashbourne's Dawson Devoy started to maintain a Meath theme in the starting 11.

However, it didn't work out as the hosts lost to a lively Sligo Rovers side who scored through Jordan Gibson, Mark Byrne and David Cawley while Liam Burt was the Bohs marksman.

Bohs now face the trrip to Tallaght on Friday evening for the televised encounter against Shamrock Rovers who won away to Drogheda in the 95th minute (see separate piece about that game).

St Pat's edged out Waterford 1-0 with a Darragh Burns goal after two minutes - Dunboyne teenager Josh Keeley was on the bench again for the Inchicore side.

Dundalk picked up another point in a 1-1 draw away to Derry City as Gormanston man Greg Sloggett spent another 90 minutes warming the bench.

In the other game Longford Town and Finn Harps played out a scoreless draw.
